Reimagining Beauty: A Weekend Introduction to Neijing Nature-Based Medicine

The workshop in Rhode Island was wonderful! While it was considered an introductory course, participants remarked how the experience had a profound impact on them.

If you've been curious about Neijing Nature-Based Medicine but haven't had a chance to study it directly, this weekend is a good place to begin.

Reimagining Beauty is a 2-day introduction with Dr. Edward Neal, held in Dunmanaway, West Cork, Ireland, hosted by our colleague Freya Sherlock.

Over the course of the weekend, participants will explore how the ancient Chinese physicians understood the body, nature, and the cosmos as one continuous field, and what that understanding means for how we live and practice today.

The course is open to the public, students, and practitioners at any level of familiarity with Chinese medicine.

This is an in-person workshop and the cost is $185 USD for the weekend.

The Foundation of Our Work

In this video, Dr. Neal explores the foundational ideas driving The School of Neijing Nature-Based Medicine and what it means to study medicine from first principles.

Dr. Neal at TCM Kongress Rothenberg Next Week!

The TCM Kongress Rothenburg (or International TCM Kongress) is one of the world’s largest and most established annual conferences for Traditional Chinese Medicine, held in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany. It brings together international experts for courses, workshops, and lectures on acupuncture, herbal therapy, and diagnostics.

This year's key topic is Cycles of Life: Gender Specific Patterns of Disease and Pain.

Dr. Neal is a key speaker at the symposium during the opening ceremony, on the topic of Descriptions of Gender in the Huangdi Neijing. on May 12, 2026.

He will also give a day-long workshop, Introduction to Neijing Nature-Based Medicine, on May 14, 2026.

If you're in Europe, we recommend you attend this several day symposium. Be sure to say hello to Dr. Neal if you see him!

Where Knowledge Begins

This medicine is rooted in classical texts, shaped by nature, and designed for those who want to understand medicine, the body, and its relationship with the cosmos more deeply.

Registration for NNBM is Opening!

Registration will be officially open for Wisdom of the Cosmos and applications open for the 2-Year Postgraduate Mentorship in Neijing Nature-Based Medicine next week. The next cohort begins August 8, 2026.

We will also be offering several online Open Houses this spring/summer for you to show up and ask questions about the programs and Neijing Nature-Based Medicine.
