A complete introduction to Neijing Nature-Based Medicine, and the opening semester of the full mentorship for those who choose to continue. Over the course of one semester, you'll study alongside Dr. Edward Neal in the cosmology, early Chinese history, and the language that give this medicine its foundation, unfolding through recorded lectures, live Sunday sessions, and shared discussion with learners across the world.

It is meant as a genuine beginning rather than a survey: a place for practitioners considering the longer path, and for scholars and serious readers drawn to the depth of the Huangdi Neijing. You begin with a single semester, and you may decide later. Should you continue, your tuition carries forward.

The Full Mentorship Neijing Nature-Based Medicine: 2-Year Postgraduate Mentorship Mentorship in classical medicine, practiced from first principles | With Dr. Edward Neal Begins August 8, 2026, 10:00am PDT

At the heart of the school is a two-year postgraduate mentorship, in which dedicated practitioners study the original language and philosophy of the Huangdi Neijing directly with Dr. Edward Neal and faculty. Across four semesters, you return to the foundations of classical medicine, the principles most practitioners never encountered in their formal training, and allow that depth to gradually reshape the way you work in the clinic.

The program joins an Online Lecture Series with three seven-day Clinical Practicums at Trout Lake Abbey in Washington, where study moves from text into the hands through diagnosis, touch, and practice, in a setting given as much to rest and renewal as to learning. For those who wish to remain online, the Online Lecture Series may also be taken on its own.
