Rediscovering Beauty: 2026 Workshops with Dr. Edward Neal

Rediscovering Beauty:
A Weekend Introduction to Neijing Nature-Based Medicine

with Edward Neal, MD

Join Dr. Edward Neal for a two-day in-person immersion into the living roots of Chinese medicine. This workshop introduces Neijing Nature-Based Medicine, an approach drawn from the earliest sources of Chinese medical thought and grounded in more than twenty-five years of Classical Text Archeology.

Together we will revisit the Huangdi Neijing, the foundational text of Chinese medicine, and explore the deeper question it raises: what does it mean to live according to the principles of Nature’s design?

What We Will Explore

Over the course of the weekend, we will examine how early Chinese physicians understood the body, the cosmos, and the natural world as one continuous field of relationship.

The course weaves together:

  • An introduction to the Huangdi Neijing, the original source text of Chinese medicine
  • New insights emerging from decades of Classical Text Archeology
  • Live dialogue, discussion, and group inquiry
  • Simple embodied exercises that help integrate these ideas
  • Practical reflections on how these principles inform our work and everyday life

This is not a technical training. It is an opportunity to reconsider the foundations of how we understand health, the body, perception, and the relationship between human beings and the natural world.

2026 Workshop Locations

Our Spring workshops will take place in three settings:

Richmond, Rhode Island, US

April 25-26, 2026

Dunmanway, West Cork, Ireland

May 30-31, 2026

Barcelona, Spain

June 6-7, 2026

Each gathering will be shaped by place and by those who attend—honoring the land, the people, and the local context as part of the learning environment.

Who This Course Is For

This weekend is open to:

  • Members of the public interested in nature, the body, and our connection to the cosmos in the greater sense
  • Healthcare practitioners
  • Students of medicine and the healing arts

Whether you are new to Chinese medicine and cosmology or have studied it for years, the course offers a renewed orientation—one that restores depth, coherence, and meaning to the study of the body and nature.

Beauty, in this sense, is not decoration. It is a sign of alignment between our lives and the larger patterns of the world and cosmos.
